Create a brand for the consumer aged from 6-12, who likes cosmetics and heritage. The current cosmetic market for children is mainly targeting girls and advertising them as beauty products. The limited options cannot satisfy children’s wild minds and spoil the fun of using them as a creative medium.
Solution
Our love for scribbling is in our nature growing up as children. Who said we can only draw on paper? Our face and body can be the canvas. Palla’s face and body paint is designed for naturally scribbly children to express their creative minds. The color palettes, each comprising 8 colours, draw inspiration from the iconic works of renowned artists like Pablo Picasso and Hilma af Klint. Palla offers children a joyful unique experience to play with colours and a fun angle to learn about art and history. The brand believes being creative means expressing ourselves outside of the box. This product can be found in different museum and gallery gift shops.
A note to parents: Palla is safe and made with water-soluble pigments, easy to clean and completely free from harmful ingredients.
The packaging for the product is desgined as a tube so that it can be used as a holder to make the colour sticks easy to organise. More importantly - it’s fun to twist it around! If you twist the tube, you can see the 8 colours mix with each other. This playful design will show children how to mix and match colours in a different way.
Each artist’s palette has a different Palla logo that corresponds to the artist’s style. It is my intention to develop a dynamic brand, because the brand embraces various art styles. It is all about being unrestrained and fun.
To inform the audience about this brand, a launch event in Tate Modern will be a suitable and effective marketing strategy. It will be an art event for families and children to
play with Palla products. The invitations will be sent out to schools and parents. The design is inspired by the round-shaped packaging comprising the same visual elements.
Flip the Tate building like the twisitng tube - well - twisting block. Inspired by the colour bars on the packaging, the building and the windows are matching with Palla’s palettes. It is all about being fun and playful!
